The Wiz pulled some detective duty and uncovered an estimated opening date of the new Cary Trader Joe’s at Cary Parkway and Kildaire Farms. Early November from knowledgeable sources. Construction is scheduled to be finished late October.

Wow, I can’t wait to dig into all the goodies I’ve missed since moving from California.
With all the rabid TJ fans (yours truly included), will the store soon be overcrowded from everyone all over the Triangle? Nope! Several more around Raleigh are on the drawing board.

The folks over at Money Magazine ranked the top 100 places to live in the US. Cary weighed in at number 5!

Some highlights:

• Low crime rates
• Tons of parks
• Great job market

Ernesto passed through with little effect to us in Wake County.  It dumped around 8 inches of rain near Wilmington, where the concern was about the damage from water, not from the wind.
I have heard from several folks from Florida who are experiencing astronomical home insurance increases - 100% this year, 140% projected next year.  A family from Miami I met in my favorite coffee shop over the weekend told me that they couldn’t even get home insurance.  The guy’s mother was regularly putting away as much as she could so she would have at least a little chunk set aside if the worst came to pass and her house was severely damaged or destroyed.

Yes we do get storms here, but at least we still have affordable prices on home insurance.  Send me an email if you would like some info on home insurance rates, home prices, or what the name of the next storm is going to be.

The best way to start anything is with a bang! Tropical Storm Ernesto is *almost* a hurricane. It hasn’t hit us yet but looks to be only a few hours away according to the radar.
