I was born in Mountain View, California and moved around all over the western US while growing up. I learned to move and learned what it meant to have wonderful welcoming friends and neighbors in each place that we landed. I like to return those warm feelings of welcome and friendliness I experienced from those people many years ago.
In my most recent past experience prior to real estate, I started and ran a network security company in the Silicon Valley. My job duties included managing our sales team and keeping the company focused on providing excellent services and products to companies ranging from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies. Identifying the unique needs of each customer and working with them on highly sensitive areas of the company forced us to maintain clear channels of communication, as well as establish and maintain utmost respect and trust between our team and the customer, in a very challenging technical environment. I embrace and operate under those same guidelines with each client today.
I am married to a wonderful woman who teaches Biomedical Engineering in a joint North Carolina State Univerity and UNC-Chapel Hill program. We have a 3 year old daughter Auria and a 1 year old son Lachlan. Our kids have changed our lives deeply, and as fairly new parents we are thrilled and proud as we watch them grow and develop daily.
I am an avid kiteboarder, Ultimate player, and enjoy photography (see kids paragraph above). My first name came from parents who got into a yoga philosopy in the late '60s. The last part of my cosmopolitan name is Hungarian. Quite a mouthful - I've heard it said just about every possible way. I would love to hear how you say, "Rama Polefka is my Realtor!"
